Where the figures come from
Spot prices are taken from gold-api.com. Charts and the history tables use COMEX gold futures closes published through Yahoo Finance. Every value shown for an item is a melt value: the weight of the gold in it, multiplied by one of those prices. While a page is open its headline numbers can update about every minute, and the site as a whole is rebuilt several times each day, so any number may trail the market or contain a mistake. Use them as a reference, not as a quote or an offer, and confirm a live price with the party you are dealing with.
When a feed fails
If a data source stops responding, the pages keep the last good figures with the time they were taken, rather than showing blanks or estimates. Read the time beside a price before relying on it.
Calculator results
The calculator multiplies a weight by a purity and a price. It cannot weigh, test or authenticate anything you own, so its answer is an estimate of the metal alone. It is not an appraisal. Buyers pay less than melt value, collectors may pay more, and melting an item cannot be reversed.

How the site earns money
When someone becomes a customer of Augusta Precious Metals after using one of our links, Augusta pays us a commission and the customer pays nothing extra.
